Apple released iOS 5.1.1 — a software update for the iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch — on Monday. The update appears to contain a great number of minor bug fixes.

According to a description provided by Apple, the iOS 5.1.1 update will resolve issues the iPad had when it came to switching from 2G to 3G networks, fix some AirPlay video playback troubles, improve reliability of Safari and Reading List syncing and so on.

If you're ready to install iOS 5.1.1 on your iOS device, then connect the gadget to iTunes and hit the "check for updates" button. (Alternatively, head into your device's "Settings" menu, select the "General" tab, and tap the "Software Updates" option to download the update over the air.)
